If I Lay Here
Hey everybody! These past couple weeks have been rough for me. I'm sorry for not posting last week. I was in an immense amount of pain and then I got sick, so I kinda forgot about y'all. These past two weeks have been crazy! School has been going as well as can be, with all the craziness. I have to say, the highlights of my week these days have been working in Learning Lab with the littles on Wednesday. That is always so much fun for me because I have a heart for littles and I want to love on them for as long as I can. I had, quite possibly, the best Valentine's ever. Like last year, Bridey was my Valentine, and it was good to just relax and watch a movie with her. I have been listening to a song lately called "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol. I absolutely love this song and how much feeling and love there is in it. The lyrics of the chorus really have a special meaning for me, because some days I just want to lie down and forget the world for a while. I'll link the song down below. Anyways, the chorus goes
"If I lay here, if I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world?"
I love to just lie outside and look at the sky when I'm listening to this song and just forget the world and all the problems I am facing. Honestly, I think that may be one of the reasons that God has blessed us with music. I know that praising Him with music is always the ultimate goal, but I feel a lot of comfort from music. Sometimes, even with secular songs that have nothing to do with Christianity, I can feel God and hear His voice in the lyrics, especially if the songs are talking about an intense love for someone. So, I have a question. Would you lie with me and just forget the world? I'd love to just lie down and forget the world for a while. But talking with someone while we forget the world would be so much better. Anyways, that's all I have for this week!
Stay Beautiful!
